Peru

2nd - 17th April 2004

I have long dreamed of visiting Peru. The famous ruins of Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and the land of Llamas has always fascinated me since being told about it at primary school.  The dream was realised with our impulse booking in March for a fortnight in this wonderful country over Easter with my mother.

For simplicity, I have used our itinerary to share the memories, images and thoughts about this amazing experience.  It has been a massive task editing down the 2000+ photographs I took on this trip down to a manageable number for this web site.  I have succeeded in reducing them to around 300 - split across several pages.  I hope you enjoy seeing them and that the wait for the pages to load is worthwhile.

Our trip was organised by Llama Travel, who were excellent; well organised and extremely helpful.  They ensured we had a truly remarkable trip, even managing to organise things over the Easter weekend when the terrible land slide at Machu Picchu threatened to deprive us of our visit to the famous ruins.
I can really recommend them if you are considering a trip to Peru.
