Railway Station at Ardingly, West Sussex - 13th February 2004

There are no longer any trains at Ardingly, but at least the station building has found a new use.  I'm not sure I like the stencilled designs on the walls.

The building is a mirror image of the one at Kingscote.

Looking down from the over bridge onto the site of the old platforms, it is clear that there are at least some remnants still in situ!

This station was the only intermediary station on the erstwhile branch from Haywards Heath to Horsted Keynes.  It was built to serve the needs of the nearby Ardingly College.
