With a yard full of rolling stock, Horsted Keynes was never this busy when part of the national railway network! It is now an intermediary station on the Bluebell Railway. On a bright sunny day, with snow on the ground, I stopped to take a few pictures.
This little tank engine was in steam, and there appears to be a coach stripped of its outer covering in the background.
Apart from the picnic tables this could be a picture from another era; southern coaches and semaphore signals.
