First of June, 1848, Mercy, a girl. Father Richard WEST and mother Mercy WEST, formerly GLAZIER. Registration District, RYE, Birth in the Sub-district of Beckley, County of Sussex. All her siblings were born in Westfield so I have no idea why she was not . On the 1851 census her parents put Winchelsea as her place of birth.
