These two pictures were taken at the Shaker Village in Canterbury, New Hampshire.
The Shakers were a religious community who practiced a utopian, celibate way of life dedicated to serving God and their surrounding communities.
Alan is wearing a traditional Shaker hat and I am sitting on a the floor of a building being reconstructed in the vegetable garden belonging to the village. Its massive constructional timbers were impressive to say the least.
A wonderful day out.
