Claremont Fete - 1988

Against my better judgement I include this picture of Jill and me at the Claremont Fete at Esher in 1988.  This annual event hosted in the National Trust gardens is a splendid affair, and usually has a theme involving fancy dress.  We went in full regalia a couple of times when we lived in nearby Cobham.

I seriously considered becoming a vicar in my early twenties - so perhaps this is a picture of what might have been!
