Moored in the harbour at Weymouth, this lifeboat is dwarfed by the car ferry, Earl Godwin, which I believe ferried people and vehicles to the channel islands. During my year long stay in Weymouth I experienced the sight of a mainline passenger train traversing the branch to the quayside, through the streets, on several occasions.
