Crocosmia, Dixter Flame - 19th August 2003

Family Iridaceae; Genus Crocosmia

Crocosmia (previously known as Montbretia)  is one of my favourite plants, and there are many different varieties available.  This one was purchased at Christopher Lloyd's fabulous house and garden, Great Dixter in Sussex.

Just on a point of interest Crocosmia means 'safron smell'.
