Former Chapel, Shovers Green, near Wadhurst, East Sussex - 20th April 2005

This chapel is now a residence. It is situated about a mile east of Wadhurst on the Ticehurst road.  The Strict Baptist congregation was formed in 1809.

The chapel was built in 1816, consecrated in 1817 and closed in 1973.  It was served by James Jones, Pastor, for 45 years.

This building is remarkably like the Former Baptist Chapel at Pell Green.
