Until 1987, the Congregational Church in London Road had a green pointed spire. Sadly the damage inflicted by the1987 hurricane was too extensive and the spire was demolished.
The church was designed by Habershon, Spalding & Brock and built in 1863. It is in the Early English style and constructed of Ore stone. There is a hall beneath.
