This smock mill was built in 1813 and continue in use until the 1930s.
Like many mills, this one became derelict after the milling ceased until 1971 when fortunately a temporary roof was installed to protect the mechanism. In 1987 a preservation group purchased the mill and following a long programme of work the mill is now fully operational again.
