Very spick and span - no longer a railway building - and no longer controlling the level crossing that used to take the line on to Isfield and Lewes.
The signal box is very similar in design to the one at Isfield.
The station is a shadow of its former self, having been relocated further north up the line presumably to remove the need for the level crossing. A couple of years back there were rumours of the line reopening to Lewes but sadly no visible progress yet despite massive support from local people and the local authorities.
The WEALDEN LINE CAMPAIGN is working very hard to restore the Uckfield line train services through to Lewes and Tunbridge Wells - I really hope that our transport planners listen to these people.
This view is looking up the line towards Eridge.
