Spider devouring a wasp in our garden - September 2002

This rather gruesome picture was taken using the macro facility on my digital camera (they've come a long way in the last few years).  The wasp was still wriggling, and while I try not to kill living creatures, those stinging insects are low on my sympathy list!  The spider looks as if he's made of leather at this magnification.
