France with Guitar - July 1981

Following my graduation I traveled Europe for 4 weeks with six University friends, Andy Willis, Anne Duffield, Chris Smith-Keary, Adrian Roberts, Alison Domney and Sandy Agnew.  We had a fabulous time.  I include this picture of me (playing guitar and with diabolical hair cut), Ann (sitting) and Andy (lying down) as it reminds me of the whole student 'thing'.  I think it was taken in France on the first day of the trip during a rest break from driving. The plastic gnome was 'borrowed' from friends to whom he sent postcards from various European cities.  He also appears in many photos from the trip!
