Greenhouse erection - 27th April 2003

During May 2003 we finally demolished the rickety old conservatory on the back of the house.  In order to create a new home for our tender plants, we purchased a small 10'x6' greenhouse and erected it in the back right hand corner of the garden.  Here it is halfway through glazing with toughened glass.  We were a little concerned about falling sticks from the trees above causing breakages!

Although being under trees means that the greenhouse will not be ideally positioned, we are hoping that it will be a safe haven for our more tender plants during the winter.  We have laid on electricity to allow us to use a small heater for frost protection.
