Some favourite Heritage related sites ...

  • Mad Jack Fuller ~ an interesting site about someone who for many years was considered by the family as a  distant relation.  My maternal great grandmother's grandfather was named Rose Fuller, a name associated with this famous family; however my recent researches and conversations with more knowledgeable cousins have convinced my that, for the time being, there is no obvious connexion at all.  However there are a couple of interesting possibilities that remain to be explored.....

  • The History of Chiddingstone ~ some interesting pages about the village where I enjoyed my childhood.  The site has dead ends, strange unfinished pages and other idiosyncrasies but it is worth bearing with.

  • Painshill Park, Cobham, Surrey ~ When I lived in Cobham I was a strong supporter of the campaign to persuade the council to support opening this wonderful landscape park to the public.

  • The Archive CD Books Project ~ Reproductions of old books on CD - check these guys out, they are doing a great job!

  • Free Historical Maps - Sussex

  • Sussex Mills Group - a great site for lovers of mills, and they have published some of my pictures - take a look!

  • Tunbridge Wells Commons Conservators - A site managed by Nick Hill describing the commons, their history and to provide opportunities for people to contribute ideas for the management and improvement of these valuable open spaces,
