The church of St. Olave was perhaps built shortly before the Conquest under the influence of a Danish settlement. The patronage was exercised by the deans between 1493 and 1637. In 1899 St. Martin's parish was united to St. Olave's.
This picture was taken on my phone on 27th April 2007 when the street was less busy.
The church is now an SPCK bookshop.
