Church of Christ, Oxford Street, Brighton, Sussex - 2nd February 2005

This attractive Renaissance building displays "Oxford Street Chapel" and the date of 1890 on the roundel above the door.  It was designed by Parker Anscombe of Brighton.

The Church of Christ has been meeting in the Oxford Street Chapel continuously since it was built in 1890, and the congregation is non-denominational.

To quote a recent correspondent to this site who is a member of this congregation: "We are not affiliated to any denomination because they only follow the Bible when it agrees with their own creed book. We follow the Bible, the whole Bible and nothing but the Bible."
